NAIROBI, KENYA - United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Nairobi Woman Representative aspirant Hon. Faith Nguthu has reaffirmed her dedication to a transformative vision centered on education, women empowerment, and youth career pathways. Speaking during a fellowship tour on Saturday, September 5, 2026, the UDA politician joined Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) congregations for worship and community engagement across Mountain View, Kangemi, and Kabete. Addressing the faithful, Hon. Nguthu stressed that sustainable community progress rests on heavily investing in these three interconnected aspects of society.

Hon. Nguthu placed education at the absolute center of her platform, describing it as the primary engine for social mobility and economic growth across the city. She emphasized that access to quality education is non-negotiable for every household in Nairobi, noting that supporting educational institutions, enhancing learning facilities, and securing equal learning opportunities for all students will be the main driver to break generational poverty across the county.

Turning to economic self-reliance, the UDA candidate made a direct appeal for mothers and young women to step forward, build businesses, and achieve financial independence. "If women are to transform society, they must be proactive, self-reliant, and economically independent," Nguthu urged. She noted that when mothers are empowered with capital, business tools, and enterprise skills, they become productive, self-sustaining leaders who uplift entire families and drive local neighborhood economies.

Completing her core message, Hon. Nguthu focused on child career growth and youth employment, arguing that education must directly translate into long-term career success. She stressed that society must mentor children beyond classroom theory by aligning their training with market-ready skills, digital opportunities, and structured job placement. According to Nguthu, safeguarding the career trajectory of young people ensures that children grow up to become productive, self-fulfilled citizens.

Reflecting on her engagement with residents across Mountain View, Kangemi, and Kabete, the UDA candidate expressed deep appreciation for the warm reception from the local SDA community. "I am grateful for the warm welcome and the opportunity to connect with the people of Nairobi," Nguthu stated. "As I pursue the Nairobi Woman Representative seat, I am focused on building a leadership agenda that puts our people, their opportunities, and their future at the centre."
