NAIROBI, KENYA
- Wiper Patriotic Front and Azimio la Umoja Party Leader, H.E. Dr. Stephen
Kalonzo Musyoka, embarks on a two-day high-profile tour of Machakos and Kajiado
counties, anchoring a series of civic and grassroots empowerment initiatives.
The opposition chief's itinerary begins this
afternoon in Yatta, Machakos County, where he will celebrate the life and
legacy of Bishop Titus Masika and Agnes Masika. The gathering will culminate in
the official launch of Bishop Masika’s new book, Church Empowerment for
Community Engagement, a publication highlighting the pivotal role of
faith-based institutions in driving local development.
Dr. Kalonzo will be joined by prominent regional
leaders, including Makueni Governor H.E. Mutula Kilonzo Junior, Machakos
Senator Hon. Agnes Kavindu, Makueni Woman Representative Hon. Rose Museo, and
Kaiti MP Hon. Joshua Kimilu.
Tomorrow, Saturday, August 1, 2026, the party leader moves to Kajiado County, where he will serve as the Chief Guest at the Youth Declaration event in Olpolosie, Imaroro Ward. The forum is designed to foster direct dialogue with local youth groups and leaders on civic empowerment, community-led development, and future political leadership.
