NAIROBI, KENYA - Wiper Patriotic Front and Azimio la Umoja Party Leader H.E. Kalonzo Musyoka hosted key opposition leaders and members of the Linda Mwananchi team for a high-profile consultative meeting aimed at solidifying the unity of the Opposition ahead of the next General Election.

The high-powered delegation included Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Bumula MP Jack Wamboka, Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua, Makueni Senator Dan Maanzo, Mavoko MP Patrick Makau, Kaiti MP Joshua Kimilu, Wundanyi MP Danson Mwashako, and former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, alongside other senior Wiper Party officials.

Speaking during the briefing, the leaders collectively reaffirmed their unwavering solidarity, emphasizing their shared mandate to defend the Constitution, protect democracy, and offer Kenyans a robust, credible, and transformative alternative leadership.

Addressing the delegation, Kalonzo Musyoka firmly dismissed persistent rumors suggesting he planned to join President William Ruto’s government, terming the claims baseless political propaganda designed to create disunity within the opposition ranks. He reassured his supporters and the country that his commitment remains steadfast with the United Alternative Government.

"I have no intention whatsoever of joining the current administration," Kalonzo declared. "The only meeting I expect to have with President William Ruto will be at the ballot box, and subsequently during the constitutional transfer of power."

The Linda Mwananchi leaders echoed Kalonzo’s sentiments, emphasizing that the opposition remains intact and focused on addressing the pressing challenges facing ordinary citizens, including the high cost of living and governance concerns.

The political gathering sends a strong signal of a united front within the Azimio coalition as political realignments continue to shape up across the country.
