Kalonzo Musyoka Leads Opposition Chiefs in Powerful Makutano Rally.

By MAXIMILLA WAFULA & PATRICK KIMANZI– The County Diary News,

In a spirited show of unity and determination, Wiper Democratic Movement Party Leader H.E. Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka on Saturday led a powerful opposition rally at Makutano in Embu County. The gathering brought together key opposition co-principals — H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, Hon. Eugene Wamalwa, Hon. JB Muturi, and Hon. Martha Karua — in what was widely viewed as a declaration of renewed solidarity ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Addressing an enthusiastic crowd, Kalonzo Musyoka called on Kenyans to stand united in defending democracy, saying the country’s future depends on leaders who are honest, humble, and guided by integrity. He decried arrogance and greed in public service, urging leaders to prioritize service to the people over personal ambition.

Kalonzo also appealed to young people to actively engage in civic matters and take control of their destiny. He emphasized that youth involvement is central to shaping a more accountable and progressive nation.

“The time has come for Kenyans to reclaim their country, rebuild the economy, and restore dignity in leadership,” Kalonzo affirmed, rallying his supporters to back the opposition’s reform agenda.

Other co-principals echoed his sentiments, calling for a united front to rescue Kenya from what they termed as economic mismanagement and leadership failure. They pledged to work together under a common vision of national renewal, inclusion, and justice for all.

The Makutano rally signaled a growing momentum within the opposition as they continue to consolidate support across the country, positioning themselves as a credible alternative to the current administration.
