During the National Delegates Conference of the Wiper Patriotic Front held at Uhuru Park, His Excellency Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka voiced strong condemnation over the lowering of the Kenyan national flag to half-mast, an action that left many Kenyans questioning its meaning and timing. Kalonzo demanded an immediate explanation from the Kenya Kwanza administration, stating that such a symbolic gesture cannot be taken lightly, as it represents the honor and unity of an entire nation.

The Wiper Party Leader questioned what tragedy had befallen the country to warrant the act, rhetorically asking, ‘Who have they killed?’ He described the torn and half-raised flag as a metaphor for the economic decay and leadership failures that have deeply hurt Kenya’s economy. Kalonzo lamented that the current administration had, in his words, ‘killed the very fabric and spirit of the Kenyan nation,’ leaving citizens burdened by debt, unemployment, and despair.

In his address, Kalonzo urged Kenyans to remain patriotic and defend their symbols of nationhood, warning against political manipulation of national emblems. He reaffirmed that the flag must always stand tall as a mark of sovereignty, sacrifice, and resilience. He further assured the delegates that under a new united opposition government, the Kenyan flag would forever be raised high - representing hope, renewal, and respect for the people’s will.

Moments after his impassioned remarks, the national flag at Uhuru Park was reportedly replaced and hoisted to full mast once again, drawing loud cheers from the crowd and symbolizing a renewed sense of national pride and unity.
