On March 31, 2025, the People's Loyal Coalition Principal, H.E. Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, visited Nyamira County to pay tribute to the late Ben Robert Omariba Onwonga. Dr. Musyoka eulogized Mr. Onwonga, who passed away on March 12 after a prolonged illness, remembering him as "a close friend known for his warmth, humour, and kindness, who recognized the importance of education in transforming lives."

Accompanying Dr. Musyoka were Democratic Action Party-Kenya (DAP-K) Party Leader Eugene Wamalwa, Kitui County Woman Representative Hon. Irene Kasalu, Yatta MP Robert Basil, Luanda MP Dick Maungu Oyugi, and former Borabu MP Ben Momanyi.

During the funeral service, Dr. Musyoka addressed several pressing issues. He expressed concern over the recent deaths of two Kenyan servicemen involved in the Haiti peacekeeping mission, questioning the government's decision to deploy officers to Haiti and calling for a reassessment of the mission's funding and objectives. He emphasized the need for transparency and accountability to prevent exposing Kenyan officers to undue risks.

Dr. Musyoka also commented on recent remarks by Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) General Charles Kahariri regarding the #RutoMustGo chants. He underscored the importance of upholding the constitutional right to free speech and cautioned against any actions that might suppress dissenting voices.

Following the funeral, Dr. Musyoka and his team made two stopovers in Bomet County, engaging with residents at Bomet Market and Mulot Sunset, where they discussed local issues and emphasized the coalition's commitment to addressing the needs of the people.
