March 7, 2025 – Nairobi — Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, leader of The People’s Loyal Opposition Team, delivered a fiery speech at Uhuru Park during The People’s Dialogue Festival, fiercely criticizing the recent political handshake between President William Ruto and opposition leader Raila Odinga. He dismissed the handshake as ineffective in addressing the struggles of ordinary Kenyans and declared that, regardless of political agreements, both leaders would have to “go home” in 2027.

Musyoka took a firm stance against the government’s housing levy, accusing the administration of land misappropriation, and vowed to block any reversal of his executive order against it.

He also condemned the 1,000-shilling ID replacement fee, calling it a scam and demanding free identification services for all Kenyans.

On foreign policy, he warned against growing Sudanese business influence and the alleged formation of a parallel government by Sudanese militias, calling it a threat to Kenya’s sovereignty.

Reflecting on history, he reminded young Kenyans that Ruto had previously played a role in Raila losing control of the United Democratic Party (UDP), urging the youth to be cautious about current political dynamics.

Closing his address, Musyoka reaffirmed his commitment to championing electoral reforms and ensuring that the voices of ordinary Kenyans shape the 2027 elections, positioning himself as a key contender determined to challenge both Ruto’s administration and Odinga’s opposition alliance.
