The COUNTY DIARY NEWS .

Nairobi 31 August 2024- as of today, calls for Kalonzo Musyoka to assume a prominent role within the Opposition have gained significant momentum, particularly from leaders in Mombasa County. The support was vividly demonstrated when Mombasa leaders extended an invitation to Dr Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, the Official Leader of the Opposition and the leader of the Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM), to serve as the Chief Guest at the Akamba Cultural Festival.

The endorsement of Musyoka’s leadership role is not confined to Mombasa alone. Prominent figures across the political spectrum have voiced their support. Notable endorsements have come from former Kiambu County Governor Hon Ferdinand Waititu, who praised Musyoka's political acumen and leadership qualities. Additionally, DAP Kenya's Hon Eugene Wamalwa and Jubilee Party Secretary General Hon Jeremiah Kioni have also publicly backed Musyoka. This cross-party support underscores the broad appeal of Musyoka’s potential leadership within the Opposition.

The growing chorus of endorsements reflects a strategic move to consolidate Opposition forces and present a united front in the upcoming political challenges. The Akamba Cultural Festival, where Musyoka was invited as Chief Guest, serves as a platform to rally support and highlight his leadership credentials.
