Kenyan Legislators and NGOs Voice Their Sympathies Towards Iranian People

NAIROBI. A section of Kenyan Parliamentarians backed by several non-governmental organizations today expressed their sympathies on the human situation in Iran.

Speaking during anonymous interviews, a section of leaders called for a swift but permanent solution to the human rights injustices being carried by the Iranian authorities.

"We stand with the people of Iran" said am MP who requested for anonymity on the matter.

Widespread Support from Legislators and Global Iranians' Protests for a Democratic Iran.

Over 4,000 legislators from 50 countries worldwide have endorsed the ten-point plan of Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), for a democratic Iran's future. 

This support was announced in a joint statement by parliamentarians from 34 legislatures, including a majority. Recently, a number of Kenyan lawmakers have also joined the ranks of supporters of Maryam Rajavi's ten-point plan.
Supporters of this plan have called for the following:

• Condemnation of human rights abuses by the Iranian regime, particularly the suppression of women and the mass executions of 1988.

• Support for a democratic Iran based on separation of religion and state, gender equality, and respect for minority rights.

• Recognition of the Iranian people's right to rise up and resist the ruling dictatorship.

• Designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist group for its human rights abuses and threats to regional and international peace and security.

• Imposition of oil sanctions on the Iranian regime and other measures to isolate it.

Gatherings of Iranians in Germany and France for a Free Iran

Berlin Rally:

On June 29, 2024, tens of thousands of Iranians gathered in Berlin to protest the "sham election" in Iran.
This demonstration, organized by the National Council of Resistance of Iran, was the largest gathering of Iranians outside the country in recent years.

Participants in the rally carried Iranian flags and chanted slogans such as "Woman, Resistance, Freedom" and "Death to Khamenei."
Paris Gathering:

A concurrent rally took place in Paris. This gathering featured prominent political figures, including Mike Pence and Mike Pompeo, former US Secretary of State, and Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran.
