July 27, 2024- Referencing Proverbs 16:19, "It is better to be of a lowly spirit with the poor than to divide the spoils with the proud," Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka today categorically restated that he would not join Ruto's Government of National Unity.

Speaking to congregants at the Full Gospel Church, Kyuso, Mwingi North, Kitui County, Dr. Musyoka said that Ruto's Cabinet nominees were cosmetic changes. He also questioned the moral and ethical capacities of the four ODM senior party leaders who have accepted the nominations against the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party directive. This, he said, was akin to dancing in the blood of young Kenyans who had paid the ultimate sacrifice to liberate Kenya from a disastrous regime.

Naming the victims of police shootings and brutality, including Rex Masai, Dr. Musyoka said that any leader of goodwill should be on Gen Z's and Millennials' side. "If we agree with them, this country will prosper. If you don't, choices have consequences. I will be on their side," the Azimio leader stated.

Dr. Musyoka added that he had instructed the Wiper Democratic Movement party Members of Parliament to vote "No!" when the vetting process of the CS nominees begins.

"We want to see in ODM 'the proof of the pudding that is in the eating' when the time comes for vetting CSs, how their MPs will vote," he further added.

Kitui County Women Representative Hon. Irene Kasalu, who accompanied Dr. Musyoka in Kyuso, confirmed that all WDM MPs would reject the ODM four.

"Mambo ni mawili; either you stand with Kenyans who have been inspired by God, or you are a participant in the spoils of corruption," Dr. Musyoka concluded.
