Dr MUTHUKA J. KYALO, Ph.D. Gives Key Talk at Neonatology International Conference in Miami, USA

By PATRICK KIMANZI / COUNTY DIARY

Dr. Muthuka J. Kyalo, Ph.D ( "Prof") is currently trotting continental USA specifically Miami, Florida and Honolulu at the famous Hawaii Island.

The researcher fetes in areas aligned to Covid-19 pertinent to pregnancy and fetal outcomes where he is expected to give a talk at the famous Neonatology international conference in Miami USA.

From here,  Dr. Muthuka J. Kyalo will proceed briefly to Honolulu for a planned consortium event as he meets other peers in his area of research for a closed door meeting before returning to Miller School of Medicine in Miami prior to coming back home.

A lecturer at KMTC and an associate of KEMRI among other research-oriented institutions says, his recent research quest on Covid severity relative to pregnancy status led to this invitation along side his continued maternal , neonatal ,child health   and HIV research ventures.

It was just in July this year where his work was highly demanded by the most superior HIV congress, the International Aids Society (IAS) in Paris, France and was presented virtually due to Covid related restrictions which hampered his physical presence as it was with all other researchers.

His recent work has confirmed similar statistics as concluded by WHO which is what was key reason for his invitation to the United States meeting which as from a reliable source, has less that 2 percent African attendees.

Dr. Muthuka says, to unearth salient phenomenal events affecting populations health wise needs originality and focus using high sense and specific lens. Anyone one can bring new knowledge that can further improve health outcomes.

Muthuka is expected back to the country before his possible travel to Finland to present similar work coined to specific biomarkers predicting Cyovid 19 severity in pregnancy , an area that he's currently and very seriously focussing on.
