Dr. Mbaya Kimwele Calls for Peace and Unity In Mwingi Central

By The COUNTY DIARY REPORTER

Waziri Dr. Stephen Mbaya Kimwele, the Kitui County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Agriculture and Livestock, has made a passionate appeal to the residents of Mwingi Central to put an end to violence and goonism, emphasizing that these vices threaten the region’s potential for growth and development. Speaking during a community event, Dr. Mbaya reminded the people that lasting development can only be achieved through unity, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence.

Dr. Mbaya urged the residents to focus on building a cohesive society, warning that divisions and hostility hinder progress and scare away potential investors. “It is time for us to come together as one community,” he said. “Unity is the foundation of development, and peace is the bridge that connects us to prosperity.”

Known for his transformative leadership in Kitui County’s agriculture sector, Dr. Mbaya has been a vocal advocate for grassroots empowerment and sustainable development. His remarks come at a time when Mwingi Central is grappling with political tensions and sporadic unrest, which have raised concerns among local leaders and residents alike. Dr. Mbaya called on leaders to lead by example, urging them to promote harmony and dialogue to resolve conflicts.

As a respected leader and potential candidate for the Mwingi Central parliamentary seat in 2027, Dr. Mbaya’s message of peace resonated strongly with the community. Residents praised his efforts to steer the conversation toward unity, with many expressing hope that his leadership could bring about the much-needed change in the constituency
