The COUNTY PROFILE: Meet MR.T. JOSEPH a.k.a WORSTY, Coast's Finest Gospel Star

By MAXIMILLA WAFULA & PATRICK KIMANZI

His full name is Joseph Tumaini Masha. Born in Malindi Kenya in the year 1988.

He engaged him self in the music when he was 13 years old and his main vision
was to be the best among the best singers in East Africa.

In the year 2002 the Kenya Music Industry saw for the first time the arise of ''Tumaini''
as a new protagonist in the music circuit as he started to participate in many street
singing competitions and with God's blessings he managed to image the best
young artist  on the kenya's  coast.

And for those who still don't know where does the name ''WORST-T'' came from,
it came  from his friends and  fans. But as the name sounds one may not
understand its meaning and the truth is  the name ironical meant
''BEST-T'', simply because best he was, best he is and best he  will ever be.

While  ' T' stands for his traditional name 'Tumaini'.
Worst's first song to be heard on the radio was ''FIESTA'', a mix of both Hip hop
and RnB track, recorded in Tabasam Records in Mombasa on the year 2004.

On sunday of may 21 2006 Worst claimed  to The Sunday Nation Magazine that
the Tabasam Records was selling his song without paying him and also without
informing him. Was it true? Yes it was, the Fiesta Party song was in the very first
Tabasam's Records compilation album in titled 'Ice on fire'. But Tabasam's owner
denied the allegations. '

'There is no such a thing. That song was not done by Worst
but by Gbtz and they gave us the right to use it on the 'ice on fire' album,'' said Bably.

In the year 2007 Worsty shifted to Scratch Records in Nairobi and released the song
'Lilian'.  Lilian is one of the best  Swahili love songs, it was also heard on many FM station
in all over East Africa, especially in Tanzania (Bongo). Then he left the country and flew
to Milan in Italy to meet family and friends, and also to acquire new skills and
knowledge.

When he was in italy Worst continued studying music on every level, as
vocal, playing live instruments and music recording  to further his talent and to attract
more fans in his songs.

Now Worst's back in Kenya well equipped in the
music industry and he's working for a 12 tracks album in tittle ''is better this way''  and also
owning a Semi Professional Recording Studio called '' Street Vibes Records'' in Malindi and is working also o an compilation album of varie coast artists including TEN DOWN, K.SHADOW, EXEL, JACUGAZ and meny others.

The worsties coming album will include the song "wewe ndiwe" and which is
currently available on internet sites as You tube, Face book, Twitter and also on FM radio
stations. This song has that kind of fascinating lyrics that only African writers can achieve
giving us a total different approach to love thematic s.

'' CALL ME MR.T. JOSEPH a.k.a WORSTY a man who believe in succeeding in all his
undertakings by the name of God'', said Worsty.
