Nairobi, 9th January 2024- The Kenya Private Schools Association Chair, Charles Ochome, has urged the Ministry of Education to expedite investigations into the issue of withheld examination results to ensure justice for affected students and their families.

Speaking on the matter, Mr. Ochome emphasized the importance of timely examinations in shaping students’ academic futures and called for swift action. “The integrity of our assessment system is paramount. Delayed results not only impact students but also erode public trust in the education system. The Ministry must act urgently to resolve this matter and prevent any student from being unfairly disadvantaged,” he stated.

He also expressed concern over the psychological impact of the delays on learners and parents, urging all stakeholders to collaborate in addressing the underlying issues. Additionally, he called for reforms to ensure similar incidents do not recur in the future.

The Kenya Private Schools Association remains committed to supporting the Ministry of Education and other stakeholders in restoring transparency and fairness in the examination process.

As of now, the Ministry of Education has not provided an update on the investigations or a timeline for resolution, leaving affected families anxiously awaiting clarity on the status of the withheld results.
