Nairobi, 10th March 2024 - In a resounding display of compassion and community spirit, Zakat Kenya, a steadfast advocate for vulnerable Muslim families, has set the stage for its annual Iftar Distribution event. This noble initiative, aimed at addressing the immediate needs of the less fortunate, invites members of the media and the community to join hands in providing essential sustenance to over 2500 families in Nairobi during the sacred month of Ramadan.

Under the guidance of the esteemed Sheikh Abdullatif Sheikh, Patron of Zakat Kenya, the event was officially flagged off today. Sheikh Abdullatif Sheikh led a dedicated team, initiating the first phase of distribution with the dispersal of 2500 foodstuffs to families in need. The second phase, slated for the coming week, further underscores Zakat Kenya's unwavering commitment to supporting Muslim communities during Ramadan.

Themed "Muslim for Muslim food relief during Ramadan," Zakat Kenya seeks to foster a profound sense of community and solidarity, emphasizing the significance of supporting one another during this sacred time. The flag-off ceremony unfolded at Patco Industries in Nairobi's Industrial Area, where 15 trucks were launched to transport much-needed food supplies to various neighborhoods within Nairobi County.

Ali Shariff, a distinguished Board Member of Zakat Kenya, passionately expressed his dedication to the cause, highlighting the organization's commitment to making a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need. Ali Khalid, the Head of Distribution, is spearheading logistical efforts to ensure a seamless and efficient delivery of foodstuffs to deserving families.

In a heartfelt gesture, Mr. Said Islam, director  of Patco Industries Ltd . Also Zakat Kenya board member, orchestrated a moving flag-off ceremony for the "Muslim for Muslim Food Relief during Ramadan" initiative at Patco Industries Ltd. His commitment shines, echoing the spirit of compassion as 15 trucks embark on delivering essential sustenance to those in need , a pivotal moment in this compassionate endeavor, welcomes all to the warehouse. Distinguished guests and community leaders will be present to inaugurate this significant event.
