FOWEK , strengthening women to trade beyond borders,  a Kenya chapter that seeks to be the apex body of all women entrepreneurs, women investors, and women business owners and their business associations that plays the role of lobbying and advocating for women entrepreneur associations (WEAs) with the aim of influencing policy formulation ,disseminating information to support women in overcoming  gender-based challenges ,succeeding in their enterprises ,supporting in the area of access to finance and empowering women entrepreneurs to scale their businesses , which was registered as a trust in Kenya , official COMFWB Kenya chapter . 

According to the president FOWEK, representing the Kenya chapter Ms. Vicky Karuga , thousands of women entrepreneurs worldwide lack capital that exposes a lot into failures. FOWEK will create and enable business environment for all women in Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in various sectors of the economy including trade, service industry, agribusiness building & construction, art & craft, manufacturing and development and engineering  women in trade by achieving full integration into national and sub-regional trade through conquering the county , regional borders and international borders.

To maximize the impact and ensure the success of the launch, FOWEK has partnered with the trade and development bank (TDB) to ensure women entrepreneur’s access funding through the TDB guarantee fund. This funding avenue aims to support business expansion and investment opportunities and in partnership with KIRDI through BIAWE Program our women have access to an incubation hub that nurtures and supports women-led startups, offering them the resources and mentorship necessary to scale their businesses and compete on a global scale.
