Emotions ran high in Mathima Ward, Kitui South yesterday as incoming Kitui Women Rep Hon Ndile toured the region, ostensibly to inspect women projects and drum her candidature for Kitui Women Rep slot, which she is expected to clinch without a sweat, The COUNTY DIARY reports.
During the afternoon meet-the-people tour that also took her to xxxx and xxx, with several detours in xxx and xxx villages, the Ruto pointwoman in Kitui received overwhelming support from the residents who voiced their grievances.
Speaking at Ikutha, the flamboyant and charismatic leader - who has been steadly winning hearts and minds across Kitui County - didn't mince her words, attacking the incumbent catwalk innuendos.
"There will be no more defranchised women with me at the helm" she quipped.
On development matters MAMA BADILISHA- as she is popularly known, promised the residents that once they elect her as the next governor, he will ensure access to quality and affordable healthcare services including sustainable employment for the young folks not to mention distribution network of clean water.
As we went to Press, hundreds of residents promised to unequivocally support Hon Ndile in his mission of OKOA KITUI.
