The latest IdealMerit Africa Voice of the People Opinion Poll indicates that Hon.Dr Makali Mulu,MP , CBS is currently the most preferred candidate in the Kitui County 2027 gubernatorial race. Hon Irene Kasalu, MP Kitui, emerged as the second most preferred gubernatorial candidate with 23.7% voter support.

The survey reflects public opinion across the county and highlights voter preferences ahead of the upcoming elections across the 8 constituencies of Kitui County. The study was conducted scientifically using a representative voter sample of 4,814 to capture views on leadership, development agenda, and public confidence in potential candidates.
