NAIROBI, February 27, 2026 -The United Democratic Alliance
(UDA) today addressed the media in Nairobi, expressing confidence and gratitude
following what the party described as a decisive and emphatic performance in
the just-concluded by-elections.
Speaking at the party headquarters, the UDA Secretary
General hailed the victories as a clear endorsement of the party’s leadership,
vision, and development-focused agenda. The party congratulated its candidates
who emerged victorious in various constituencies and wards, terming the outcome
a strong signal of public trust in UDA’s transformative manifesto.
Among those celebrated were Hon. Tubi Mohamed Tubi for
winning the Isiolo South Parliamentary seat, alongside Hon. Eliphas Kainanga,
Hon. Duncan Muratia Nyaga, and Hon. Peterson Njeru Njiru for their victories in
West Kabras, Evuvore, and Muminji wards respectively. Party officials described
the results as a “clean sweep” across all elective seats that were on offer.
The leadership emphasized that the by-election outcomes
reflect growing public confidence in the party’s socio-economic transformation
agenda, which seeks to uplift livelihoods and strengthen inclusive development
across the country. UDA officials stated that the results demonstrate that
voters are increasingly embracing issue-based politics centered on service
delivery and accountability.
The Secretary General noted that Kenyans had exercised their
democratic right peacefully and decisively, adding that the turnout and results
showed a departure from divisive rhetoric and a preference for practical
solutions to economic challenges.
Addressing supporters and the nation at large, UDA
reiterated its commitment to implementing its manifesto promises and
accelerating development projects aimed at improving the lives of ordinary
wananchi. The party leadership described the moment as historic and reaffirmed
its resolve to consolidate unity and national progress. The press briefing
concluded with a call for continued political tolerance and collaboration as the
country moves forward, with UDA maintaining that the by-election victories
signal renewed momentum and strengthened grassroots support for its agenda.
