Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has denied allegations that his party has surrendered Nairobi to the Democracy of Citizens Party (DCP) led by Rigathi Gachagua. Kalonzo described the claims as "cheap propaganda" meant to divide the opposition and create friction between him and Gachagua.

Speaking at a church service in Machakos County, Kalonzo emphasized that cooperation with other parties doesn't mean surrendering political ground. He urged supporters to disregard rumors and assured them that decisions about Nairobi politics would be made openly and through consultation.

Kalonzo's denial comes after Gachagua claimed that DCP would take control of key positions in Nairobi, including the governor, senator, and woman representative seats, as well as 16 out of 17 parliamentary seats and 75 out of 85 ward seats

The dispute highlights tensions within the opposition alliance, with Kalonzo accusing the government of spreading misinformation to undermine their unity. Gachagua, on the other hand, is pushing for DCP to dominate Nairobi politics, citing their recent by-election wins.
