Kitui Central MP 2027 Dr. Nzalu Kiluvutu Partners With Youth for Youth Mentor House To Bring The Kitui Youth Mentorship Event Day (26/08/2023)

By PATRICK KIMANZI

Incoming Kitui Central MP Dr. Nzalu Kiluvutu efforts towards in-calculating leadership in the youth as he takes the center stage on the constituency politics has borne fruit after Youth For Youth Mentor House agreed to partner with him to bring the Kitui Mentorship Event to the County, The COUNTY DIARY has learnt.

In recent years, our country has seen a shift in the way leaders convey their leadership. This shift is a reflection of the new complex environment in which leaders operate.

More importantly, it is an indication that the world has adopted a more holistic approach to leadership and has embraced a more “open culture” in terms of encouraging youth to “engage in broad inquiry, to

think critically, and to venture and debate new ideas in the interest of contributing to collective effectiveness."

As a result, the importance of creating a learning environment which ensures

that youths are developed professionally and personally through knowledge and experience is increasingly recognized.

Such learning environment allows future leaders to adapt themselves and be receptive to internal and external changes, as well as adopt and demonstrate a more transformational approach to leadership. This double commitment suggests and calls for a mentorship process in which future leaders learn to identify themselves with this approach to leadership.

Mentoring is a proven learning process and Leadership developmental tool. Indeed, to be effective, mentoring cannot be separated from the critical role of development. The question of mentoring in terms of leaders’ development has to be addressed in regards to leadership, career, professional and personal development.

A few years ago after studying the complex problems affecting the youth, through the directorship of Alex Makau, the Youth for Youth Mentor House (Y.Y.M.H) was born to fulfill the above mission. The programme has been running successfully and effectively since then upto date with a series of  public events whose history is present in our social media platforms.

This project has been aiming to bring about revolution and change in the county and country at large. The 26th of August 2023 will indeed be the greatest day in the history of Y.Y.M.H. Thousands of Youth from all walks of life in Kitui county will converge at the Unyaa Grounds, Syongila for the Mega Youth Mentorship Event

The theme of the event will be "Ni masaa ya kuokoa generation" translated as "it's time to rescue the generation". The event will commence at 10am EAT with several activities to take place on the stupilated date and time.

The theme has the following key topics: fighting against drug abuse, sexual immorality amongst the youth and nurturing talents among the youth.

Dr. Nzalu Kiluvutu invites you all to support the programme so that we can not only save our county but Kenya at Large from all vices affecting our youth.

Let us all come together to help our youth and save a generation.
