NAIROBI CITY MARATHON THE BIGGEST AND MOST ATTRACTIVE MARATHON IN KENYA CHANGES ITS DATE TO JULY 2ND 2023

Nairobi city marathon, one of the biggest and most attractive high-profile events on the Kenyan athletics and sporting calendar, has been postponed to July 2nd, 2023. The event was earlier scheduled to take place on May 21st.

As the organizing team, we were unaware of a different run happening on the same day across the road. In the true spirit of charity and sportsmanship, we are therefore happy to leave the day for them and push ours forward in order to allow them to meet their planned charity and community objectives.

This decision has not been easy as we know some runners had already kicked off their training in readiness for the Nairobi City Marathon. All the same, we deeply regret any inconvenience caused to the athletes, sponsors, partners, and fans of the marathon. 

However, the success of the event and well-being of Nairobians as not just a City, but a community remains the top priority, therefore the organizers are committed to delivering a world-class event that meets the highest standards of excellence. 

As we use this time to stage a better and bigger event, we urge all registered participants to use their time to prepare better and Go, as well as Stay Green in line with this year’s theme.
