Kalonzo Unveils WPF’s First Line-Up for November By-Elections

Nairobi, September 24, 2025 — Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) Party Leader H.E. Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka today officially unveiled ten candidates who will contest in the November 27, 2025 by-elections across the country. The event, held at the party headquarters in Nairobi, marked the first time WPF will field candidates under its new name.

Dr. Musyoka was joined by top party officials, among them Secretary General Senator Shakila Abdalla, Executive Director Benson Milai, Deputy Minority Leader and Kathiani MP Hon. Robert Mbui, Embakasi South MP Hon. Julius Mawathe, and the Head of Elections Board Agatha Solitei. Several county leaders and party supporters were also present.

The unveiled candidates are: Eng. Johannes Orodi Dovens Odhiambo (Ugunja, Siaya), Samuel Kombe Nzai (Magarini, Kilifi), Dyone Mbare Oluoch (Kasipul, Homabay), Antony Kyalo Kisoi (Mumbuni North Ward, Machakos), Francis Kivuva (Narok Town Ward, Narok), Lopeyok Kiyoi Lokero Peter (Nanaam Ward, Turkana), Shem Nyanumba Makori (Ekerenyo Ward, Nyamira), James Obebo Kamanda (Nyamaiya Ward, Nyamira), Kavali Munyoki (Kariobangi Ward, Nairobi), and Alex Obare Nyantika (Nyansiongo Ward, Nyamira).

Speaking during the unveiling, Dr. Musyoka said the team embodies WPF’s vision of transforming governance and providing servant leadership. He assured supporters that the candidates reflect the party’s national outlook and readiness to deliver inclusive leadership.

“This team represents our aspirations and vision for Kenya. Together, we shall #KomboaKenya,” he declared.

The by-elections are expected to be a litmus test for WPF as it positions itself as a formidable political force ahead of 2027.
