KITUI POLITICS: Know Your Incoming KITUI COUNTY WOMEN REP HON NDILE

1. Hon Esther Kalunda Ndile is the incoming Women Rep for Kitui County in 2022.




2. She is a nominated MCA 2017-2022 for Mutonguni Ward in Kitui West, Kitui County.

3. She is a visionary leader as demonstrated during her tenure as the Vice Chair of the The County Assemblies Forum (CAF). CAF was able to convene summits that promoted devolution and counties role in the National development agenda.

4. She is an innovative & enterprising leader and has already launched an initiative of economic empowerment at the grassroots level through the “Wamama na Essie Fund” where more than 1000 self help groups have been boosted with table banking seed capital.

5. She fully understands the role of a legislator. Her track record at the county assembly speaks got itself on how she has managed to check the Government on its irresponsible spending and questioned the budgets while dissenting severally alone. 


6. She has been at the forefront in policy making and prioritising public resources. She has been keen to publicly question the social policy on the failed health system in kitui and not lying to kitui residents about a system that is none existent. 

7. She is a passionate educationist undergoing her postgraduate Degree at UON and has sponsored many students in high schools and colleges across Kitui county to ensure there is increased access to education.

8. She is a mother of 3 and believes in the institution of family in society. She has been distributing food packages and necessities to households sunce the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. 

9. She is a Masters Degree holder from the University of Nairobi (UoN) in Mental Health issues. Her Phd is on the same topic of abuse of substances and drugs. This makes her very relatable to the youth especially in this era of high unemployment & high poverty level faced by Kitui Youth. 

10. Using evidence from her research background, She willl work to bring about socio-economic change through youth-centric programs and using research to embed approaches on how to deal with this disenfranchised group.
