Hon Jeremiah MUTUA Ramps Up Youth Sports In NGUNI, Mwingi

*HON JEREMIAH MUTUA, the Nguni Ward MCA breaks yet another Sports Support Record!* ⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽

The Deputy Minority Leader hosted his *JEREMIAH CUP 3rd Edition* tournament in Nguni Ward at Nzouni Primary School Stadium where over 47 teams participated. The extravaganza drew both ladies and men in Soccer and volleyball disciplines. *Muthuka FC* won the soccer championship for men while *Muthuka Women Fc* beat Kalanga Women Fc to win the women's soccer affair . In Volleyball Men, *Yumbandei* won the trophy for the  third consecutive time. *Maai ladies* were Volleyball champions in the Women volleyball affair. Hon. Jeremiah Mutua splashed and distributed *Ksh 150,000/- cash prizes* to position 1 to position 4 in each category. He also awarded *fully branded uniforms* to quarter finalists in soccer men, semi finalists in volleyball men, finalists in both soccer and volleyball for the Women category. In Total the Nguni MCA gave out *18 branded uniforms* to Nguni Youths . Jeremiah Mutua who is also a Chelsea fan went ahead to give *1 original playable ball* to each of 47 teams registered in the 3rd edition. He also meant  sure that FKF provided the much needed and qualified referees for soccer officiating . Also Kenya Volleyball Federation provided qualified referees for volleyball officiating . During the games these referees *scouted* the best players to be linked with teams playing in higher FKF affiliated teams in Kenya . The sports were meant to *unite* youths and *advise* them to focus on their *talents* and *academics* for future nation growth . 
Hon. *JEREMIAH MUTUA* is a man of the people. The 10 days extravaganza came to an end yesterday with established guests attending the same . The Mwingi Central MP, *Hon. Mulyungi* was the chief guest who supported the function immensely with cash prizes. The Kitui CECM for Sports and Culture *Phoebe Mutemi* supplied 6 branded trophies to the tournament. Several Chief officers supported the running of the event effectively . Many thanks to Chief Officers *John Kimwele* ( Finance) , *Henry Nyamai* ( Energy), *Masai Soi* ( Environment), CECM *Frederick Kimanga* ( Urban), *Ketonya Musya* ( boda boda), *Salee* (Administration & SEKEB)among others . 
Several Members of Kitui County Assembly attended the finals notably *Hon. Muthengi Ndagara (Tharaka Ward MCA & Deputy Majority Whip), Hon. Anthony Neymar ( MCA Kiomo/Kyethani Ward), Hon. Mukwayu( MCA for Kyome/ Thaana ward ). Hon. Harrison Maluki( MCA Migwani), Hon. Mathew Vuthi( MCA Chuluni), Hon. Wanza( MCA Nuu) and Kevin Kinengo( Speaker)* supported the operation of the tournament greatly .
Nguni Professionals were not left behind in supporting the talent; Peter Kithusya (PK), John Kimanzi Kitivui, Rhoda Kithuku( County MP Aspirant ) Calvin Kathuku ( De Malilis CEO) , Philip Wambua, Mwalya Matu, Syengo Mwalya (Danjo CEO) among others made sure that the 3rd Edition was a success.
Financial institutions like Suluhu Sacco and LATO saccoattended and supported the finals greatly . Learning institutions like Kitui  Kids College were well represented. The Managing director sponsored one needy player for a 3 year course in the institution. 

In an event which was attended by over 3000 fans Hon. Jeremiah Mutua took a Centre stage to thank everyone who made the finals a success and urged the Kitui County Government to take seriously youth affairs by setting budgets that promotes sports and culture to our people going forward .


He said MCAs have no sports kitty but they use their salaries and allowances to run these expensive tournaments and so the county government should cushion the operations going forward .  
The County legislator thanked the area MP for continuous support to Nguni people on matters sports and school infrastructure development. The Jeremiah Cup 4th edition is scheduled for next year with plans to be *rotated* alongside the ward villages for equitable distribution of economies. The Nguni Ward MCA announced that there would be plans for athletics and introduction of *handball* sport in future this year . 

Under stewardship of HON. JEREMIAH MUTUA expect a _very strong Youth block going forward and a United Nguni for change ._
