Philanthropic Nguni Ward Politician Flexes Muscles As Drought Bites Mwingi

Budding Nguni Ward politician and philanthropist Elias Mwanga, currently based in the UK has received rave reviews after his benevolent donation of Ksh 700,000 to the starving elderly residents in NGUNI.

Several elderly persons from Nguni ward in Mwingi Central, Kitui benefited from food donations exercise in the area.

The Sh700,000 initiative is funded by his Mwangaza Food For The Elderly Initiave, The COUNTY DIARY reported Saturday.

"I am aware that my fellow residents have not had any harvests for the last three years have not benefitted from any relief food and that is why I took it upon myself to chip in" said Mwanga, a hotelier speaking from his base/ in UK.

“We urge the President to handle drought in Mwingi, Kitui with a lot of seriousness as people are on the verge of dying if the situation persists,” he added.

“A considerate government stops all developmental projects to address drought.”
