BY PATRICK KIMANZI & MAXIMILA WAFULA

PRESS RELEASE:

Good morning members of the Fourth Estate. Ladies and gentlemen,

We as leaders of SAWA movement , who believe in Dr Kituyi’s ideologies wish to make a statement in response to the remarks made by kakamega Senator Mr Cleophas Malala in regard to our presidential candidate Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi.

SALVO: Calystus Wafula Of SAWA Fires Salvo at Malala Over Remarks On Kituyi/PHOTO/MAXIMILA WAFULA

We wish to take this very early opportunity to make a clarification of the stories doing rounds in the media that our presidential candidate H.E Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi was coronated as the Luhya gatekeeper.

Dr. Kituyi is not interested in such a title if at all it exists in the first place.

The ceremony was a blessings ceremony which was organised by the Luhya Council of Elders whose sole purpose was to open the door for him in accordance with the Luhya traditional custom which gives him the greenlight from the members of his community to run for the highest office in Kenya.

It is therefore  with regret that we note as the highest level of insolence for Malala to make such unmitigated remarks against a man of Dr. Mukhisa's stature.

We further wish to inform Cleophas Malala that Dr. Kituyi is not his equal and that he's not competing with anyone for the position of Luhya spokesman or kingpin or whatever he may wish to call it. Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi is offering himself to be elected as president of the Republic of Kenya.

We therefore wish to take this opportunity to give Cleophas Malala and his ilk the last warning that such machinations will not be taken lightly in future and he should blame himself for any consequences that may follow his uncouth utterances.

Regards

Sawa movement:,

Secretary General

Calystus Wafula
