Meet Hon Peter N. Osteen - The Force Behind Youth Aspirants Movement (YAM)

Peter N. Osteen: He is the founder and chairman of Youth Aspirants Movement (YAM).


As the national chairman of YAM he has successfully served as the national symbol of unity and society head the organization  by facilitating and drafting the commissioning of YAM across the 47 counties and 11 African countries.


 YAM is a national outfit whose main objective is to bring all the aspiring youths and youths who can play major roles in politics from all the 47 counties, equip and empower them for full participation in national politics .



 "YAM was formed on 15th August 2019. The idea was conceived and motivated by the growing concern and urgent need of youths to participate in elective politics during the general elections.


Youths always get locked out due to lack of funds, connections or party ticket. YAM intends to cure this problem once and for all", Peter Osteen. The movement gives youths an opportunity to contest for political posts, meet with their admirable political mentors and source of  campaign strategies. 


YAM's core values are:

5. Efficiency and 

6. Integrity. 


YAM's Slogan is *Mwamko Mpya Kenya*


"It is our duty to take part in changing the political status quo in our country and it's either now or we shall all perish like fools and that's what's why we're mwanko Mpya in our country. We are going to think the unthinkable and do the undoable", Peter Osteen. 


*YAM Achievements*


- Through the leadership of Peter Osteen, the movement has been able to come up with various projects which has in return created job opportunities to many youths. 

(a)  In 2020 YAM leaders lead by Peter Osteen participated in giving free face masks to 8 counties. This activity was started to fight COVID -19  in Kenya. 

(b)In 2020 the leaders came up with an idea of buying and selling of maize in Kitui county whereby four youths were employed to work in transportation of the maize and working in YAM maize stores.

 "YAM has made a lot of money during dry seasons when the prices are higher and we intend to use this money to start other new projects in other counties", Peter Osteen. 

(c) In 2020 the leaders came up with poultry farming project in Kilifi county whereby more than ten youths are now working in the farm. " 

This is the only way we can create job opportunities to our youths and we intend to do more projects to make sure that those jobless youths get jobs by doing so we're reducing criminal activities and ensuring that our youths are responsible even after growing to an old age. It's our responsibility as leaders", Peter Osteen. 

(d)  2021 the leaders lead by Peter Osteen came up with car wash project in Busia county, a project which has not only benefited the youths but also the residents of Busia county who are not youths. 

This project has created job opportunities to four youths.

 "We expect to come up with more projects in this county and other counties too to make sure we benefit all the youths across the 47 counties",Peter Osteen. 

(e) 2021 YAM leaders started livestock farming project in Taita Taveta county,  a project which has created job opportunities to three youths in the county. " With time we are going to expand the project and ensure more youths benefit from it", Peter Osteen.

(f) YAM has successfully contacted public education in more than 20 counties. 

This has helped the local people understand the current state of the nation as far as national politics are concerned.
